Web Survey Bibliography

Title Using Both Online and Traditional Data Collection in the Same Research Project
Author McInerney, J.
Year 2001
Access date 28.05.2004
Abstract Most researchers have long adhered to the old axiom that you should not mix data collection methods in the same study. Is this still true in the Internet age? Using online research in addition to traditional methods can minimize coverage error and non-response error in survey results. Offering multiple ways to participate in the research process can also reduce the risk that the research process will alienate your company’s customers. Burke will present data from both R&D efforts and case histories showing how a "multi-mode" study design can be a cost-effective research approach – as well as detailing when it might not be. Specific topics to be addressed include: Recruitment for multi-mode projects Designing appropriate surveys for multi-mode research Using online reporting to present multi-mode findings.
